For a good piece of dried mango, Zhongbao Food invested 300 million yuan in January 2020 to establish Zhongbao (Cambodia) Food Technology Co., Ltd., and purchased land and invested in building a factory in Cambodia, and carried out in-depth cooperation with local orchards in Cambodia. Today, Zhongbao Food's factory in Cambodia covers an area of 12 hectares (180 acres) with a construction area of 45,000 square meters. The first phase of the factory covers an area of 15,000 square meters. In October 2023, the second phase of the factory was completed, covering an area of 25,000 square meters. It has now been put into production and use.
Being down-to-earth and seeking truth from facts has always been the creed of Zhongbao people. In order to ensure the quality of dried mangoes from the source, Zhongbao Food started to work hard on the original materials of the products. The chairman has repeatedly led agricultural experts to Cambodia to guide local fruit farmers in the planting of 'Yujiao Mango'. Yujiao Mango is large, fleshy, sweet, juicy, and has less fiber. These taste characteristics have become the core of Zhongbao Food's mango product line.
With a strong raw material supply and efficient large-scale factory buildings as a backing for development, Zhongbao Food has achieved the record of selling more than 350 tons of mangoes per day. The number of employees hired in Cambodia has also grown from more than 1,000 in the first phase to a huge base of more than 2,500 today. Adhering to the concept of 'scientific layout and green development' and operating in a three-dimensional industrial chain model of 'base + farmers + enterprise', Zhongbao Food has become the only Chinese enterprise with its own Southeast Asian orchard and deep processing integration.
Walking into the Cambodian mango processing plant, you will have a wonderful experience of being in a mango ocean. The endless fresh fruit acceptance area and temporary storage area allow the already rich mango aroma to drift far away. Workers orderly control the machines to perform automatic cleaning of mangoes. After washing, tons of mangoes are sent to the peeling area for peeling and slicing. The scene of nearly a thousand people peeling fruit is a unique landscape no matter where it is.
At present, Zhongbao Food has built 2 production bases and modern factories in Pinghe, Fujian and overseas Cambodia. The completion and commissioning of the second phase of production plants will gradually help the company achieve a surge in production capacity and a stable product layout.
