Ambassador Wang: China-Cambodia agricultural product processing cooperation has great prospects

On the morning of Monday, August 18, 2025, Minister of Commerce Chan Nimol received a delegation from Lang Ho Agriculture (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. and Zhongbao (Cambodia) Food Co., Ltd. at the Ministry of Commerce. During the visit, the two sides exchanged the latest progress in the processing and export of Cambodian agricultural products, and requested the Ministry of Commerce to provide more support for the company's expansion of the processing plant project, and signed a memorandum of understanding on the purchase and sale of dried mangoes to the Chinese, American, and European markets.

On Monday morning, August 18, 2025, His Excellency Chan Nimol, Minister of Commerce, received a delegation from Lang Ho Agriculture (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. and Zhongbao (Cambodia) Food Co., Ltd. During the visit, the two sides exchanged views on the latest progress in the processing and export of Cambodian agricultural products, and requested the Ministry of Commerce to provide more support for the company's expansion of the processing plant project, and signed a memorandum of understanding on the purchase and sale of dried mangoes to the Chinese, American, and European markets.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister welcomed and thanked the delegations of both companies for attending the meeting and discussing work. The delegation reported on the latest production processes, factory expansion, procurement of agricultural and fruit products, and potential market destinations for exporting agricultural products, especially dried mangoes, to the Chinese, American, and European markets.

At the same time, the Minister expressed his support for expanding the production project of the above-mentioned fruit and agricultural product processing plants, which is a contribution to the government's efforts to diversify and promote Cambodian agricultural products to the international market. The Minister also shared other potential markets for which Cambodia has signed free trade agreements, as well as the trade policies, trade facilitation, incentives, and other support mechanisms formulated by the Royal Government to improve the production, processing capacity, and competitiveness of Cambodian private enterprises.

At the same time, the Minister also emphasized the importance of cooperation between private enterprises and the Royal Government of Cambodia in strengthening the capacity of producers. The goal of processors and exporters is to promote exports and increase Cambodia's market share and reputation in the international market.

Ambassador Wang Wenbin highly appreciated this: Chinese companies remain optimistic about the development momentum of Cambodia and are full of confidence in the prospects of Sino-Cambodian cooperation.
